In November 2010, two cousins, Greg and Alex, decided to start 360 Community Sports, an online community dedicated to local sports in and around Lawrence and Mercer Counties in Western PA. Their main emphasis was on high school athletics in the area and local universities, especially Pittsburgh and Penn State.
Greg's expertise in fantasy football is second to none. Forget cheat sheets on draft day, you're better off trying to buy Greg for the day. Alex's love of college and pro football cannot be duplicated. He knows incoming freshmen for Pitt's football team better than their coaching staff. Combined, you have a 1-2 punch of sports knowledge, and most likely a 1-2 punch in our fantasy football league too!
One day, Greg and Alex decided to do a podcast on Penn State basketball, so Alex called his friend James, a current Penn State student, for some detailed information on the Nittany Lions. Thus, the 360 Community Sports team grew to three.
After a while, the three-man team decided to expand and discuss a wider variety of sports. They moved on to include college sports nationwide, the professional realm, and even international athletics. Anything and everything in the world of sports is subject for discussion under their new direction. Thus, 360 Community Sports became the 360 Sports Network.
Since the start of 3SN, the team has discussed, analyzed, debated, and informed the public on all areas of sports, including the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA basketball and football, auto racing, and World Cup soccer. They continue to look for even more new sports to discuss. Their most successful podcast came in March of 2011, giving predictions for the NCAA tournament and "Bracketology" assistance. The podcast had over 30,000 viewers, and still gets comments on almost a weekly basis.
The Formula One season began in March, and so added the fourth member of the 3SN team. Ryan's unbelievable knowledge of racing has been invaluable for the team, especially in analysis of F1 and IndyCar racing.
In summer of 2011, 3SN gained the Quarterly Brothers of Jim and Dan. Jim's baseball analysis and Dan's football and basketball expertise are great additions to the team!
